Calendar of Events

Council Meetings:

The Chinese Immersion Parents Council of Fremont normally meets on the first Tuesday of each month (*with some exceptions) at Azevada Elementary School in the multi-purpose room. The meeting starts from 6:30pm and goes to about 8:00pm. This is a business meeting where we discuss topics related to supporting the Mandarin Immersion Program. These council meetings are open to all parents with children in the Mandarin Immersion program. Parents of future students to the program or other interested parties are welcome to attend to learn more about this program and parent support organization, and to talk with parents with children already in the program. Typically, we have about 40 parents attend these meetings. Representatives from the school administration, the district, the teachers, and CIPCF typically give updates related to this program. Child-care (free) is provided in an adjacent room by high school volunteers.


Library Story-Time:

The CIPCF hosts Preschool Story-time sessions at the Fremont Main Library (on Stevenson Blvd) throughout the school year. For more details and dates, click here.


Outreach Events:

Mandarin Immersion Info Night

Find out more about the Mandarin Immersion program at Azevada. This annual event is designed for parents new to immersion programs and have a child ready to register for the coming school year. The topics include information about the immersion program and how to register. Teachers and parents of existing students are on hand to talk about their experiences. The Info Night is scheduled for January 17, 2017 at 6:30pm in the Multi-Purpose Room at Azevada Elementary School. More info.
